Sandra - A de AbogadosSandra Liñeira Sanchez. E-mail: Practising lawyer of the Barcelona Bar Association since 1999. Graduate in law from the University of Girona (1997), specialising in company, corporate, insolvency and restructuring law. She holds a Master in Bankruptcy Law from the Barcelona’s Bar Association (1999) and a postgraduate course on “Companies in crisis: prevention, restructuring and bankruptcy” from the IDEC-University Pompeu Fabra (2008-2009). As expert in Bankruptcy Administration, Sandra has been appointed Trustee in Bankruptcy by the Commercial Courts of Barcelona since 2005. She acquired experience in company law at the law firms of F&S Gabinete Jurídico Financiero and of Bufete Janer and Fernández for more than fifteen years and gained experience with international companies as General Secretary of the Chamber of Trade Hispanic-Maltese. She has contributed to the publication of “Yes, conciliation in the strategy” from Women Lawyers. She speaks Spanish, Catalan and English.

Cristina - A de AbogadosCristina Martínez Ribas. E-mail: Practicing lawyer of the Barcelona Bar Association since 1995 and member of the International Bar Association. Graduate in law from Universidad de Barcelona (1992), Master in maritime law and specialised in port law. She acquired experience as a litigation lawyer at the law firm Bufete Berenguer Comas and at the shipping agent Witty SA. She was also a P&I correspondent for ship insurers of the International Group of P&I Clubs, starting at Witty, S.A. and setting up INDECO in year 2000. From 2006 to 21 June 2012 she gained experience in port law as a lawyer attached to the Secretariat-General of the Barcelona Port Authority. Cristina studied and practiced law under the Doctors of Law and Master Mariners, Dr. Santiago Hernández-Izal and Dr. Luis Berenguer Comas. Primer second prize in the Pablo Acero 2013 Award of the International Association of Port Law with her work “A legal perspective on abandoned vessels in Spanish ports”. Contributor of the whole chapter on Spain to “The International Legal Guide to Shipping Law 2013” from the Legal Group Ltd. She holds the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English and also speaks Spanish, Catalan and some French.

Jaime - A de AbogadosJaime Piera Gabarró. E-mail: Tax Lawyer, graduate in law from Universidad de Barcelona (1991). Master in Tax Law (first promotion from ESADE 1991-1992). He acquired experience in financial and taxation law at Landwell/Price as associate (01/07/1992 a 30/09/1995), to carry on at the Law Firm of Cuatrecasas (01/10/1995 a 28/02/2017), which he left with the category of partner to set up on his own.


Ambar Diaz. Graduate in law from the Universidad de La Habana (1993) and the University of Miami (2003). Member of the Florida bar association, specialising in maritime law, immigration and laws relating to the US embargo of Cuba. She has legal experience in the defence of cruise ships, crews and passengers in Miami (Florida), in insurance brokerage and as a correspondent of P&I Clubs in Havana (Cuba). She currently works in Florida in her own law firm, Ambar Diaz & Associates, and as an external advisor for the Miami law firm, Houck Anderson, PA. She speaks English and Spanish.

Manuel Martínez Ribas. Graduate in law from the Universidad de Barcelona (1991). Practicing lawyer of the Barcelona Bar Association. Specialised in the legal field of the information society and intellectual property. Founder partner of id-lawpartners, part of BGM&A (Brugueras, García-Bragado, Molinero & Asociados). Previously he worked at the law firm Baker & McKenzie. He holds the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English and also speaks Spanish and Catalan.
